JS90HAM - What paint finish is it ?

G'day all,

At first I thought the JS90HAM model was finished with DuPont Chromalusion paint. This is the paint that shifts colour depending on what angle the light refracts off the paint. Today I read on one German site that the finish is "Candy Apple Green".

Can anyone confirm the kind of paint used on the JS90HAM please ?

I found out today at the local DuPont distributor that Chromalusion is $300 per 500ml's, so it's going to be a bit more expensive to spray my 540R LTD than I originally planned for.

Well its definietly not candy apple green!! *lol ....Well I guess it is in one angle. The angle it s on my rack it looks purple most of the time.

The 3 colors it changes to are blue, green, and purple. Hope that helps in some way.

Yes that does help, thanks Rikk.

Over in the Tech: Setup, Repairs, Mod *forum there is a thread about the paint you can now buy in a kit form, it costs around $20. Look for the thread title "Chrome Illusion Finish"
