Just bought an................

used JS 100 with the Lo TRs on it....
Now I'm a little bit disapointed when I read that it is a 'crap' trem..
Is it really that bad? I haven't got the guitar yet, but I'm looking forward to try it anyway
I only play guitar at home....

Should I replice it with an Edge Pro sys??

Thanks

If the trem is setup correctly it can work quite well but as well as the Edge, Lo Pro Edge or Edge Pro. You can replace the Lo TRS with a Edge etc. but it will require routing. The simplest solution is to replace the trem with an OFR.

yeah the ofr is the simplest solution but it looks horrible in an ibanez... get the edge pro instead

Now now. I am about to put one in a Jem custom. It's not that bad, and yes I am too cheap to buy the proper trem

There is a mod you can do to the TRS to install an Edge arm so it feels more like Edge than a TRS.

Have a look around on google

Thanks. Looking forward to play on it. I'm used to Zakk's Epi, so it may be a little difference

It depends on what you are used to (your frame of reference). You may think it is great. But it isn't on a level with the Edge, LP, EP. You could swap to the OFR. As for changing to an Edge Pro, I think you would be better off changing guitars at that point.

Re: Just bought an................

Well, now I have owned the TR JS 100 for a couple of months.
I think it's a great guitar for my use. It keeps in tune and sounds good. But I will change the pups?( is that what you call the pickups)?

I have bought the neck , PAF Pro. Got it cheap :-)
I will buy the Fred soon.

I hope one day I can afford an JS 1000 though :-)
