Just Came Home With My New JS1000BP

Been pondering it for several days. I traded a Strat (I still have six Strats) and a Fender Deluxe reverb (and $100) for a Black Pearl JS1000 and a TC Electronic G-Sharp effects processor. Just to close the deal, the manager of GC threw in a framed picture of Rameirez classical guitar that my mom liked.

Very cool guitar. It does the "Joe" think of course; what really impressed me is the quality of its clean tones. My band plays a REALLY wide variety of music - Sade, to Hendrix, to Green Day, to Korn. This is a guitar I could (broken strings not withstanding) wear all night. I think I'll set it up with .010s (it came with .009s) and a Tremol-no; I never up-trem, and I'll be able to lock the trem and tune to dropped-D when necessary. Just to be different, I think I'll get a set of chrome pickup rings ala JS1200. Yeah, I know - it won't match the rest of the hardware. I just think they look really cool. The G-Sharp is pretty decent. I got it for the reverbs, but it has decent chorus and delays as well. Just gotta find a cheapo MIDI controller to change programs when I'm playing live. Now I'm REALLY looking forward to band rehearsal tomorrow night! mrgreen:

Peace,

jb

I need to get my digital camera back from my daughter (16 year old - the camera LIVES with her and her girlfriends) and I'll get some pics up. Sound clips'll come when I get accustomed to it (not long - too much fun to play)

peace,

I'd love Ibanez to make the 540R again. I want a Radius body, but with newer Ibanez designs that Joe doesn't like.

For example a AANJ. And I like tilted headstocks better. And the Wizard neck.

I can't believe you are still talking about that. Besides, being a strat player he would probably like it Joe's way better anyway. Ibanez makes plenty of guitars the way you like it. The JS is great the way it is.

Actually Ibanez DOESN'T make plenty of guitars the way I like them. Not anymore.
