Thumbs up

LEFT HANDED IBANEZ JS

Hello to all the left handed guitar players... (i do everything right handed but play guitar left handed) - so unlucky.

OK we all know Ibanez dont make the JS models, I am seriously thinking about making a few JS bodies at my parents business which we have two CNC routers but only manufacture kitchens/doors.

Any1 interested let me know and if there are enough takers i will spend the time and money with tooling, programing etc. If i go ahead i will be making them out of all the same wood mahogany.

let me know...

No, this is the first time.

if not many takers ill just use the cnc to router the basic shape then hand carve the rest, less programming and tools then.

What neck/trem would you be aiming for?

Re: LEFT HANDED IBANEZ JS

will be a floyd rose/edge pro, and neck will be the same as the JS1200... basicaly i want to build it exactly to the orginal guitar.

Made a few phone calls, and can get 2 guitars out of 1 metre of solid mahogony.

Im not doing this for a business adventure... the kitchen shop i 1/4 own is doing well, I want to make 5 guitars for myself but while im doing a run of guitars i might as well make 50 more, but obviously not if no1 is interested. I can always hand craft the curves for my 5. lol

Give it a little time for the lefties to come out of the woodwork. I think you will find a number of interested parties if the price is right.

Re: LEFT HANDED IBANEZ JS

Well, with me replying, I think we're all pretty much here

Honestly, not to be a downer or anything, but there are already builders out there who can do this for us, and have experience/reputation already and are trusted.

Someone with 6 posts and who is just doing this for the hell of it isn't someone i'd want to invest my money in to make me a guitar.

No offense, that's just how it goes.

There is Rainer Tausch in Germany and there is Monster Guitar Shop (but do a search on those to hear what people say about those).
