maybe I'm stupid..but why do I have 2 serial numbers??

I was wondering why I have 2 serials number on my JS1000BP..

I have this 'F0135417'..which tells me that its made in Japan in 2001 and that's their 35417th guitar of the year...am I right?

and I have also this (where you screw the neck to the body..on the Ibanez metal part...'008687'..what is that??

sorry if it seems stupid..but I'm clueless..thank you

8687th JS Made In Japan [and fitted with the cast plate] It used to be all MIJ but some of the 700's [and now evidently] 100's were MIJ but don't have the cast plate so you can't say all MIJ JS's.

now what does this tell me:

004859 on the plate
F98 0 5 3 3 9 on the headstock of my JS 90th HAM

it obviously ain't the 4859th JS90th made
perhaps the 4859 JS*?

TIA, rich (or perhaps someone else :P)

The only similarity are the plates are in the 4000's and they're both 98's
