Message from Joe, 1-27-07

After two amazing G3's in Mexico, South America and Australia,
Christmas in Singapore, and New Years in SF, what better way to kick
off 2007 than to announce our G3 Spring Tour with John Petrucci and
Paul Gilbert!

But first, a word about NAMM; I had a great time at the Peavey booth
inviting the guys from OCC to debut their Peavey Chopper with Hartley
Peavey himself, followed by the debut of the new JSX Mini Colossal Amp.

The amp is really a little monster. With 5 watts of pure class A
sound, a Power Sponge(master volume), fx loop, tremolo, a direct out,
and a killer 8" speaker, it's the perfect little recording amp,
practice amp, and all around fun amp. Check it out...

The next evening I helped Steve Vai celebrate his 20th anniversary
with Ibanez Guitars with an all star jam at Hollywood's Key Club on
Sunset. At the end of the night Steve and his band were joined by
Paul Gilbert, Andy Timmons, Herman Li(Dragonforce), Matt Roberts(3
Doors Down) and yours truly for a great and thunderous jam.

And, yes, Paul Gilbert is joining us for his first full G3 tour! Paul
has been a frequent guest of our shows over the years and I'm happy
to announce he'll be bringing his amazing guitar work on tour with us
this year. His new solo CD "Get Out of My Yard is awesome... Go get it!

http://www.paulgilbert.com/

I'm currently working on new art work for my Planet Waves strap and
pick line, a new JS guitar with Ibanez for next year, and new
effects pedal line with Vox...oh, yes and practicing for G3 of course!

Joe

So, a new Ibanez guitar is coming out next year, let's hope it's going to be better than the Jem 20th.

Yeah, it's probably going to have his signature on it and a "Joe" preset, much like Brian May's. Let's hope it's a wah pedal he's going to actually use and not just some extra toy for everyone else to buy just because it's Joe's. Also, let's hope it's better than the 535Q he's been using for quite some time.

no true bypass and no vintage style fasel inductor, that and the fact that 1/2 the controls are on the bottom of the god damn pedal.

The 535Q is a nice pedal but I wish it had some of the bad horsie features of it.

Jimmy

P.S.: Yes, I have one and I also have a regular crybaby.

That JSX mini amp sounds like it could be killer.

Now we just need Joe to step down and stop going through the motions...
Get Andy Timmons or someone else up there.

Step down from what? The G3? It'll never happen. He's the creator and the G3 wouldn't be the G3 without him. If Andy Timmons is so great, why is it that you don't hear him on the radio? Yes, the radio. I can still hear Joe's and Steve's music on regular broadcast radio to this day.

Lets face it. Joe ran out of ideas some time ago. Andy is the closest we have to the old Joe IMHO.
And I never thought I would of said that....

Joe used to approach more styles in the old days.
