Most Unlikely Magazine to Have a JS on the Cover!

I was passing by the mag rack at my local convenience store when I spied a familiar headstock shape on the cover of a magazine. I thought it was odd, because the only music related rags this store has ever sold are E! and maybe Tiger Beat. I stopped to have a look and found a beautiful girl holding a JS1000BP on the July '06 cover of Penthouse.

Don't ask me for the details because it was in a cello wrapper and I wasn't about to fork over nearly $10 just to check it out.

Anybody here a subscriber? C'mon Rich, give us the inside scoop!

Hmmm, maybe that's a good enough reason for my wife to let me buy a copy.

Re: Most Unlikely Magazine to Have a JS on the Cover!

Ironic, just the other day I was searching through some old stuff and found some old Playboys. April 03 had Carmen Electra on the cover sporting her sweet ass Fender, as well as her, well, sweet ass.

Anyhow I didn't recognize the locking Fender trem on the guitar. A few Googles later, I found that it was a Schaller-made locking trem used on the MIJ Contemporary Stratocasters during the 1980s. The trem is called the System 1, theres also a 2 and a 3. They look cool, and I'm interested in trying one. Anybody know anything about them? Opinions?

As far as the Penthouse, my guess would be that the prop guy like Satriani. I guess well see....

Penthouse?! I'm a Hustler, girl next door section, kinda guy. Actually, I'm a free porn internet kinda perv now, but who's counting!

I got a call from a NY set designer that wanted to borrow an FP for a photo shoot. The "fee" was amazingly good, but she needed it the next day and I wasn't driving it up to NYC, and then trusting them to pack it right to ship it back, especially considerring it was my last new 15th and it was sold.

You couldn't negotiate to sit in on the shoot?

You want more unlikely. Try having a Rolling Stone cover with a JS on it.

I have a buddy who's girlfriend was on the cover, and the centerfold, of Penthouse a few months ago.

It was a 2 day shoot. And the drive alone both ways cost $60+, not to mention parking which is $30 easy. Thanks but no thanks.
