Multi-radius on the JS?

Not really a big fan of the JS, I never really spent much time on one...yesterday I picked up a JS1000 in GC. *Nice and light, good feel. *I was looking at the radius, and it appeared to be multi-radiused (sp?). *I always thought that multi-radius usually meant rounder at the nut and flatter near the body (i.e., Warmoth), but this JS seemed to be the opposite--big radius (flat) at the nut and smaller up the neck. *Did my eyes deceive me, or is this the case?

Multi-radius on the JS?

Thanks, Rich. *That's what I thought it was supposed to be, but this one looked really flat at the nut. *Oh well, musta been the Texas heat softening my brain tissue.

Multi-radius on the JS?

I was reading thru one of my guitar mags from earlier in the year. Gary Brawer did a write-up on the complete set-up specs for Satch's Chromeboy. He indicates Crhomeboy's neck is 'milled' at the crown, giving it a rounder radius on the outside and flatter in the middle (9 and 1/2 under the 1st and 6th strings, and around 13 or so for the middle 4 strings). If the JS1000's are truly supposed to be a copy of Joe's favorite neck, what am I missing here? Don't get me wrong, the JS1000's neck feels ultra-comfortable, but it appears to have a traditional multi-radius neck (round at the top, flatter at the bottom). Can anyone shed some light on this?
