Sorry...I know this is like the most unoriginal thread you can find in this forum but what the hell...
I just got my first Ibanez JS

It's a JS1000BP...and all I can say so far is wow! My main guitar has been my Jem7VWH and I just got the JS a couple of days ago. In my opinion these guitars are totally, totally different. I was suprised myself to be honest. After playing the Jem for the past year or so, I found it quite difficult in a way to adapt to the JS's neck but now it feels almost as comfortable. I say almost; I'm still partial to the
Jem neck (but I would having played it for the past year

). The sounds you can get out of this guitar are unreal. At this moment I have it hooked up to a small
practice amp with the built in distortion (only because I can't be bothered to get all my gear out) and it still screams. While it's not quite as eye catching as the Jem (I still get a 'wow' when I take it to college), the JS is a beauty. Also...just a quick question. How do I know what year its from? The serial number is F9955750...I'm guessing its 1999 model.
