My JS2KPLT has Arrived!!!!

Well, it just came in (#015/200) and let me tell you; just looking at it is amazing!!!!!

I'll post some pics later tonight, but this guitar is sooooooo cool in person.

Take those statements for what it's worth... I've had JEM7VWH, JS10th and JS1IR/1000's in the past, and this guitar definately can hold it's own.

Secondly, I gotta give props to Jimbo72. Great Jem'r and absolute pleasure dealing with.

Pics coming tonight!!!!!

Hi!

First of all congrats!!!! Listen, I'd really would like to *hear* that axe, so is it asking a lot if you post some samples of it's sound?

Thank you in advance.

Re: My JS2KPLT has Arrived!!!!

Well here are some pics: http://groups.msn.com/MyCraigslist/s...msnw?Page=Last

Plz don't mind the Jeep Photos ; )

One thing I now have an answer for is the whole Black Light pigment thingy....

It appears the Control and Trem Spring Covers and Headstock Overlay are "Light Sensitive" and give off a Purple-ish light even with regular room light, but I can only imagine what happens when you DO hit it with a Black Light.

I tried to take a pic of this effect, but it only shows up a little.

As far as tone..... it has a TON!!!!

I ran it through my stock Peavey Classic 30 and it ROARED!!!!

And through my POD UX2 it was HUGE as well.

Guitar was extremely responsive; tonally speaking.

Not that the JS's sound thin, but this guitar sounds like a fat JS with all that classic Joe-Tone and then some.

I'll try and post some samples as far as recordings..... if anyone has a landing zone for said files, fire'm over and I'll put them there over the next couple of days.

the JS's does sound thin? at least my 1200 it sounds pretty good, even running it thru a 15wtt ss amp.

I believe he said "NOT that the JS's sound thin".

I think he was just saying that this JS sounds even chunkier than a standard one might. That's all.
