Oh man this thing rocks!! I will post some pics of it late tonight. I was not prepared for the beauty of the color changing paintjob. From green to blue to purple...... wow. I love it. I am at work and I wish I could just play the hell out of this thing RIGHT NOW!!! lol

Thanks again Alvaro!!!

My new JS90

Thanks man.

Lets see I have a JS1000 (Donnified), JS1BK, JS6, JS10, and JS90. I still would like to get a JS700, JS2000CG, and a plain white JS1000 All in good time!!! lol Oh yeah wait.... a JS1000BSB too!! lol Anyone want to trade a JS1000BSB for my JEM7PBK?

This JS90 rocks. I love the looks and feel of the guitar. I cant wait to get home and REALLY play it vs sitting here at work on my break playing it acoustically!!!

It's BTB not BSB ... and having just bought one, i can safely say... NO!

heheh, i absolutely love it.. it's my first "decent" (jap) ibanez, and i'm afraid to say the old mohog S-series which i learnt on isnt getting much play..

congrats on the 90th, from what i've heard the finish is absolutely stunning

Rikk:

I am very happy that you are overjoyed by it. *I missed it a little while it was en route to you, and then I received your guitar...WOW. *I think this is the BEST strat EVER made. *I've played a zillion strats and this has the most attention payed to its build. *I still think its funny that it has an ebony board (just like the JS90th) so I feel still right at home with it!!!!

Give the JS a try with the way I set it up (.10-.46 strings). *I feel that the heavier guage 'lends' itself to the JS series in particular (for the last 3 years I've been using that guage on all my JS's including the chromeboy). *The extra guage up gives it that extra 'crunch' factor and brings out the highs better (in my humble opinion) out of the PAFs and Fred (I set the action low BUT even as you found out).

Thank YOU Rikk for a great deal.

P.S. My first name is also my dad's name, call me Paul or better yet, Goldboy...but not that 'a' name!

Ooops sorry Goldboy!! *lol Oh yeah BTB not BSB (still stuck on JEMS a little) *lol *:silly: You know I actually think I wil put my JEM7PBK up for trade for a JS1000BTB. Basically they both sell for the same amount of money its just that the PBK is much harder to find (especially when Rich gets his shipment of BTB's in!!) *lol

Well I am going to lunch so I can play on the 90th!! *

Rikk, how is it playing w/o inlays? With me it's feast or famine, the vine is to busy...I get lost. No inlays is too plain...I get lost. :loco:

It's the only thing keeping m from picking up a 90th.

To be honest I look at the side dot inlays and not the fretboard so it doesn't bother me at all!! * The ebony feels great though!! I still have not been able to plug it in. I have a feeling I will have to seet the guitar up with 9 to 42 strings instead of 10's that are on it. I am just REALLY use to using 9's

When I had the JS700TR I had it setup with .13-.52 guage!! *You can get away with that on a stoptail, I highly recommend it...it does wonders for thick saturated tone!!! *I am actually slowly working my way up to .11-.50 as my 'standard'. *I got the recommendation from a friend of mine also a guitar teach, to slowly and accurately play scales on an acoustic. *Then go over to the electric and feel the difference. *It took me a good year to ween myself off of the .09-.42 arena. *Now when I go back to that guage it feels like rubberbands! *

Get those pics up Rikk, even I'd like to look at it again (i know i know i have pics too) but this time in YOUR awesome collection.

BTW: *All I Need...yeah..Sara liked that one, a lot. *You've earned another fan(s).

Pics pics pics pics Line 'em up all nice an purty!

Rikk--

Congrats on the JS90! I was super-impressed with the finish on mine, for the short period of time I had it (too bad it didn't have 2 more frets...). They're certainly the coolest guitar for the money in the JS line (though the new CG may come close!).

Rikk congrats on the new guitar, it's very nice, I still remember going to your homepage last time checking out and drooling over your nice nice jems, seems like you've gone for an almost total conversion to JS guitars now!

Very nice!

Chris.
