Mystic Dream 1998 IBANEZ JS-1200 Joe Satriani Signature 10th Ann. Model

The Mystic Dream is the colour code for the Petrucci models, but this is a JS1200.

Looks like an ebony board, but the high cost is the colour really.

Yep it's a JS 90 HAM (aka 90Th - Hoshino Gakki 90 Th anniversary.)

The fretboard is in ebony and makes the sound of this particular guitar diferent from the regular JS's with rosewood. Some users refer more punch, which I agree, but also consider that the overall tone is much more defined compared to the rosewood ones.

Regards,
AK

Re: Mystic Dream 1998 IBANEZ JS-1200 Joe Satriani Signature 10th Ann. Model

I forgot to mention that I own(ed) 5 JS series guitars:

JS 1000 TB ( 1994 )
JS 10 Th ( 1998 )
JS 90 Th ( 1998 )
JS 1000 WH ( 1998 )
JS 1000 WH ( 2002 )

And that, IMHO, the JS 90 Th is the most underated guitar ever in all the JS line. From all the ones I tried (including the ones on stores) it was the best instrument of the line...

Regards,
AK
