Neck specs and Gotoh bridge 1996 JS 1000 TB

Hi!
I have 2 questions for the JS gurus.

First I want to know now the full neck specs of a 1996 JS 1000 TB (#3616)

Second I want to know if a Gotoh Floyd is compatible with this guitar. I want to change the lo-pro edge for a Gotoh one.

Why would you want to replace the trem? Is it because of the profile? If that's the case, you can put an Edge in place of the Lo-Pro. It should retrofit without modifications and it will have the same look of the Gotoh.

First of all thanks for the reply.

The change is about quality, and stability. Regarding your reply, it will be necessary mods to put in a Gotoh one? I was hopping it could be a "plug and play" procedure.

I also need the neck specs because it needs a fret dressing.

After all it seems this JS 1000 TB is from 1994 (I bought her new in 1996). Unless I'm mistaken, this was the only year they were made with this finish transparent blue (TB).

Can anyone confirm this?

I dont know the answer to your question but I can say this, the Edge trem is one of the most stable trems I have ever played, like any trem though, its all in the setup.

If you dont like it, take it to a professional and have it setup first before you do anything that isn't reversible.

They have the same specs post to post measurements wise.They are after all from the same maker.They share the same knife design-1 fixed(curved) knife and one straight knife edge.

The issue will be the extra space the Gotoh Floyd will need.
The JS is routed for Edge trem's symmetrical base.The Gotoh's base is wider on the right side where you put the bar.

None besides it's got a considerable amount of wear. I just thought to try the Gotoh (read lots of good feedback about that bridge) along it wasnt a complex process.

The gotoh 1996 destroys any Floyd rose on the market. I know, I've played them all lol

There is a man on youtube who has done this to a js100- have a search. There is some routing needed but it can be done fine.
