Re: New JS build

I absolutely love that finish, and I'm usually not a swirl guy. But is that really a dipped swirl? There's a seam on the rear that makes it appear that it was an applied material of some sort. Or maybe I missed something further back in the thread. Regardless, it looks very cool indeed.
Cheers,
Bert

Re: New JS build

I agree with Bert, did you lay some sort of decal on this body Andy? I like the finish but I can't say I'm crazy about the way the neck screws look on the back of the guitar. I think that a regular JS1000 style headstock would look perfect on the guitar IMO. You don't want to overdo the pattern everywhere.

Re: New JS build

Awesome looking swirl, the colours aren't to my taste but I love the effect, a kind of arctic blue with black would look really great, I have a really gooey blue in my head which I'm imagining in that swirl style and I think it'd look awesome.

Try a breed in mahogany if you like really smooth lead tones.

Re: New JS build

Neck came in from Proaim on the bay. 88 original wizard from a 540s, need to reshape the heal for the aanj, but wired it up to give it a spin, still not made up mind about pickups. Heres a crap pic

Reminds me of the colours you see in petrol when it spills or leaks.
