New Satch axe on G3 Japan DVD?
What the heck is that thing? I can't think of a way to search for it!
Sorry, I should have said the red and white graphics one. Looks like a lava rock pattern or something.

Re: New Satch axe on G3 Japan DVD?
Well he uses a custom JS 7 string for searching, the white one for the first song(i havent watched it in a while) and he uses the crazy pattern one from the cover of Flying in a Blue Dream...
So if you mean the JS 7 string, thats what it is...

Re: New Satch axe on G3 Japan DVD?
Ekim is talking about the custom graphic JS used on Up in Flames. That is not the one on the Flying cover (that would be Black Dog). It is a graphic guitar Joe has had for a long time and pulls out occasionally, but not often. He uses the red JS-7 for Searching, alumiboy for War, and a white JS1 for the jam songs.
Rich probably knows more about the graphic one.

Yeah, I've never seen or heard of it before. Thanks for the input, ryanb.

One of the old guitars he has left.

Is it a JS100? It looks to have the
neck inlay
of a 100.

Sounds like you're probably talking at the Snake graphic JS.

It's not the snake. And it's definitely not a JS100.

So what's with the 21st
fret inlay
? I've got a magazine somewhere that has a pic of the neck, and it has a block inlay on the 21st fret just like the JS100s, which is why I thought it was one. I can scan the pic in and post it if you want.

Erm...costume?
That was either a bad typo of custom, or I'm missing something here.

Didn't they say JS custom? Just checked my brothers JS and that says JS Custom.

I don't know if they said custom or not, lol, but I'm fairly sure it wouldn't have said 'costume'.

Re: New Satch axe on G3 Japan DVD?
I believe it was JS Custom. Joe's axe on the DVD has a solid block inlay (no text), so he must have had it replaced.
