Nut Sauce
So, nut sauce - anyone tried/use it?
Good or bad, is there better/worse... just read about it and wondered what any of you more knowledgeable peeps thought.
Cheers

Re: Nut Sauce
I use it. Works well too, and doesn't make any mess.

Re: Nut Sauce
Cool, thanks.
So, what guitar/s do you use it on, and why did you start using it?
Used at bridge and nut (I'm just interested in it for some older guitars)?

Re: Nut Sauce
Pretty much all non-
locking nut
guitars I have! Strat, RG7621, RG421, LPs etc. I first used it because I had a guitar with tuning problems and wanted to make sure that it wasn't just the strings catching in the nut, but subsequently I use the stuff routinely when I'm setting up non-locking guitars.
You use so little that one tube will probably last me a lifetime!

"When I use it on the bridge fulcrum points it really helps the Floating bridge return to zero point, with much less a tendency to rest sharp or flat. Most people don’t know that these points need to be lubricated. Nut Sauce is perfect for this. Thank you" - Joe Satriani
wasn't he using Chapstick?

Gary Brawer uses chapstick on all Joe's trems.

Yeah I can't see this being anymore effective than chapstick...

Re: Nut Sauce
Its slightly less messy than chapstick, so better for use on the nut, but on trems, no advantage I can see.

I prefer the Chapstick... its more versatile
You could use your chapstick on your lips as well as your guitar.. .but while the nut sauce is good for the guitar I dont expect anyone would want it on their lips.
