It is not the 410, you can see that from 2 miles away... plus the JVM line is hyped, but does not live up to it in the real world.

Also you guys should get over it what artists display on the stage. It is like with the past Satch Tour, he played his effects rack into the clean channel of his peavey... All distortion came from Satchurator and proto DSes....

Some artists even now have AxeFX backstage and a few endorsement stacks not even hooked up...

Yeah, it certainly bears a resemblance judging by the pic.

sorry to hijack, but...

I'm curious as to how confirmed this is? You hear of so many people doing this, but I've not seen one shred of evidence other than "a guy I know saw one at *insert name of band* concert" Which counts for very little...

Doesn't look at all like the Vigier. But that's just me....

I am not allowed to say who does it as I signed an NDA as I do stage security. Rest asured I saw it first hand even at one of the guitar heroes (not Satch, but equally well known) and several VERY well known bands. Of course it gets worse with the more POP focused commercial bands or solo artists that have the musicians only for display on stage and rest is playback or loop inserts by a backline arranger.

That's right: it's just your opinion.

Imo, there's a clear, obvious resemblance.

In that they're both 24 fret superstrats with an HS configuration?

Exactly what I mean

As curious as I am though I know you can't breach the NDA you signed, but that's all folks are saying. Did you confirm that they're using it for their amp sounds and maybe not just effects? I've heard (amidst the rumours and counter-hype) that folks are using amp sounds and Axe FX for effects...

That said I don't care what they use as long as it sounds great. What bugs me is the "fake endorser stacks" you mention.

OK, yes, just that. Now I suppose I'll get flamed cuz there are a million HS strat-style configurations out there! It's the way the pickup is slammed up against the neck too. Oh, and because I've been eyeing a Vigier lately. YOU GOT ME!

Come on man, the cutaways and/or horns look so much alike... It's in plain view. Add the neck pickup and you've got a guitar that certainly is reminiscent of the Vigier.

I think pretty much all suprstrats with the same pickup configuration and 24 frets look fairly similar.

The Vigier Excaliber with it's HSH configuration is just an RG clone by your reasoning then?

+1 my initial reasoning. Being superstrats with same pickup configurations doesn't really hit me as being similar...

With that reasoning all guitars are basically clones of each (which they are.. roughly)

Oh dear another similar guitar... and they also ripped off the finish!!! What has the world come to?

All I meant to say was that I agree with frantick that it has a resemblance. I never said I agreed it was a rip-off/clone.

Re: Official: New 24-fret JS on the way!

OK, rip-off was a bad choice of words. "It looks like" should've said. And yes, there are probably a million HS's out there, for sure there's a million HH, HSH, and SSS's out there.

But that ESP has a slanted pickup and what looks like 26 1/2 frets, so it's WAY DIFFERENT! ;-)

There is definitely a resemblance, but really as Joe said, it is the Radius body with a deeper cuttaway.
