Ibanez JS chrome, used by Satriani, basswood body chrome finish, Dimarzio pickups, Lo Pro trem, 1 of 5 in Australia, rare, $3,000 (03)92333860 Wheelers Hill *

spotted in www.tradingpost.com.au * *.... in the state of Victoria, in Australia. search under Audio/Visual.

for all you aus-based JS fans, this could be a very rare window of opportunity to own an original chromeboy. no doubt Rich will swoop on this ))

private imports perhaps? my PGM90 was never imported, but they did know of a handful of PG fans importing them.....

Condition is *definately* everything. Looks like about 2pm on Sunday there. I'll give a call but I doubt they'll be open.

G'day,

I'm in Australia, and a new JS model Ibanez would be around $3000, which is about $1500 USA, so if this is an original, and a guitar Satch actually played, $3000 is pretty cheap !. So that makes me wonder if they mean "As used by Satriani" ? which I think is far more logical. : )

Probably a private seller. Phone's been busy and I wouldn't doubt somebody else got the jump on it after you posted it.

hehe.. oh well :\

what are those babies like long-term anyway? joe's has a great big piece of tape down the front keeping the chrome on. i expect this should never happen with the luthite-bodied models?

Terrible, mine has a large bubble on the back that just started in the last 2 years and is starting to wrinkle inside the horns as the body shrinks Nothing missing yet though!

G'day,

Wouldn't it be nice if guitar manufacturers did the same as same as some major bicycle manufacturers and guaranteed their finishes ? I guess if Ibanez had that policy they would never have tried the chrome version at all ; )

Rich, that's one you'd add to your collection, right? I think that the finish of the original Chromeboy would drive me nuts! I'd sure love to get my hands on another 10th though!

You know I used to have the time (and ALLWAYS surfed it) to go through that site once a week. No time for that anymore.....

The phone was busy for the whole first hour I tried to call, then nobody home till 3:30am when I cashed it in. I don't doubt it got sniped, but I'll still get him on the phone ASAP to get the serial # and a few details.
