Polish stuff to restore the original factory apperance

I used to use Ibanez 'Guitar Polish' to polish my guitar but I think that's no good, it becomes dull.

I want something to restore the look (very shiny) the day I bought my JS and cover some minor scartches, please suggest.

There's a Fender system that's actually made for them by Meguiar's, who specialize in automotive polish and wax products. It includes a swirl/haze remover, a polish/wax, and a "finish enhancer" which is probably just a variation of a spray & wipe detailing wax used on cars.

I've used Meguiar's liquid wax on my guitars before, and it works beautifully. And it smells really good. Their products are top-notch.
