Question about JS100 in blue

Has anyone ever seen or owned one? I was looking at one of my old ibanez catalogs from the 90's and I saw that they had a JS100 in blue. the color looked really nice and I was curious to find out if anyone here owned one. I'm surprised I've never seen one on the bay for sale.

Re: Question about JS100 in blue

I think you read wrong. The 1000 came in blue (still does in Europe, I beleive) but never the 100, or atleast to my knowledge. Did the blue have a little black in it, sort of "burned?", one might say? Cuz the blue on the 1000 is called "burned transparent blue".

Re: Question about JS100 in blue

There was(is) a blue 1000. Wasn't the 700 available in blue? I don't remember ever seeing a 100 in blue.

There was a blue JS100 made for a short time as well. Btw, the details are listed on this site http://www.jemsite.com/ibanez/spec_js.htm

Re: Question about JS100 in blue

Just in case someone cares (since the thread is pretty old): I own a JS100 in blue. The color is called "atlantic blue" and the guitar was solely made in 1996.
Have a look ...

Re: Question about JS100 in blue

That's a really nice finish. They should do a JS1000 like that.

Re: Question about JS100 in blue

Thanks man, I am pretty amazed about how heavy duty the finish is. The guitar is quite old but still looks brand new. BTW: I would like AB on a JS1000, too. I think the JS1000's candy apple red is currently the only colour with a "wow-factor".

Re: Question about JS100 in blue

I'm surprised they never did an AB for the 1000's. Perhaps Rich might know why..
