Questions about JS CP

Acrylic can be called a type of plastic. In more precise terms, the CP should be made of acrylic resins. These resins are made by the polymerization of acrylates or other monomers containing the acrylic group. If my memory serves me correct, acrylic is durable and have low densities. That's all I can recall from my Chemistry lessons.

As for the tone of the CP, I was a bit hesistant when I knew it was not nade out of wood. But when I tried it out, it definitely proved me wrong. The tone was different, in a good way. The tone was warm but I think the sustain suffered a little.

I'm sure Rich will be able to give you more info regarding the CP.

Questions about JS CP

The tone is surprising, but I actually think it has more sustain than it's wood bodied conterpart. As for being 'scientific', all I know is the acrylic looks cool as ice

The pickups are stock PafPro and FRED wrapped on a clear bobbin. This acording to Steve Blutcher over at DiMarzio.

Questions about JS CP

I have a question too...

How many CPīs have been made ?
Is it 300 or is it not...:cheesy:

How do the FREDs sound vs. Evolutions ?
Not so cutting are they ?
Are they more like the Breeds or the Paf Pros ?
Just wondering...

300 made. Check out the DiMarzio pickup chart in the jemsite --> guitar area. The FRED pickup is more like a PAFpro but brighter... glen

Questions about JS CP

I thought it was 200 made? I saw the serial number at the back of the headstock, I could have sworn it was xxx/200. Then again, I could be wrong. My eyes have been playing tricks on me lately.
