I got a 440 too and it's an awesome guitar. Apart from the pickups,
the 440 didn't have a backstop unit installed.

Theres not much differance really, the 540 had ibanez/dimazio pick ups, different knobs and a lo pro edge. The 440 had ibanez pick ups and the standard edge trem. I have a 440 and its great

Re: Radius 540 to 440?

Hey cheers for the replys everyone.
Jus picked the 440 up, has some dings here and there but for a 17 year old guitar im well impressed. The neck feels wonderful lol, going to paint it i think...strip her down and set it up properly at least
Its got the S1's and V2 pickups installed atm...but im feeling the urge for a sustainiac or fernandes in the neck, the mid pickup would be cool to have as some kind of coil tapped single track humbucker (Do they make anything like this? lol) and for in the rear im thinking a touch of PAF.
