Satch or his JS Guitar Line?
I like SAtch, and really dig some of his stuff. Fav album would be Flying... however, Satch is nowhere near my fav player (EVH, Lynch, Cantrell) and I'm a bigger fan of his guitars than the namesake.
How many of you guys are not really into Satch, but just love the JS guitars?
My basic arsenal is complete.. a JS6 and JS100 both a half step down, with the American Strat HSS Deluxe (with locking tuners) in standard. If the house catches on fire I grab the JS6 first.
My next buy might be the self-tuning Les Paul so I can instantly tune alternate.. will read up to see how accurate the tuning system is.-sg

Not me... Have 4 JS's but also have Joe as my favorite guitarist on the instrumental rock scene.

He is a decent guitar player who designed a decent guitar.

Re: Satch or his JS Guitar Line?
The guitar existed before Joe,540R Radius....he just liked it too.
He just wanted a fender strat type neck and boom the JS series was born.
Fender neck/Radius body,no design necessary there.

You made me remind this funny part, on the end of the video, of Steve's interview. (

Re: Satch or his JS Guitar Line?
I don't think he's the best 'guitarist' out there, but he's my favorite instrumental song writer/performer, and he knows how to design a guitar. Favorite neck, body, and tone of all my guitars is JS1200; color not so much. (White with white, Ibanez!)

Re: Satch or his JS Guitar Line?
I love the guitarist and the JS guitars (I own JS6 and 1000BP).
After reading some interviews of Joe, Jeff Beck is a god.
For Vai, I love the JEM look and some songs.

Re: Satch or his JS Guitar Line?
I have a JS2400 and an anniversary special of the Surfing with the Alien guitar (never play it... it's not as well made as the JS2400... nice display model, however). I saw both Satch and Beck in concert... the quality of playing and emotion from Beck is second to none. Satch is good at what he does, but there's something about Beck's playing that captivates a guitarist. Someone else who impressed me was Ted Nugent... this guy can kick ass when it comes to a more 'traditional' style of rock playing... balls to the wall from beginning to end.
