Satch Video guitars - Differences

Rich,
I checked out my Satch tapes Vid and the Always guitar is a proto type The knob layout IS different.

Also anyone notice that Satch's early JS guitars bottom horn are more tapered or is it just me. The newish ones have a more bulbous (Slightly) look.

Satch Video guitars

the guitars he was using in early vid clips were not his signature series guitars.... they were a normal production model... the radius (?) series? and then there was the guitar on the cover of dreaming 11 which definitely wasn't a typical satch guitar (had squared edges, not round).

Satch Video guitars

Pablo, after studying it for 10 minites I think you're right. The volume knob and the switch are slightly North and West of stock JS1. It's got black hat knobs and the rubber bezel around the switch so it's looks like it's even more dramatically off than they are. It's definately LA custom shop as it has the Joe Satriani script on the headstock. Very well be one of the first true JS1 protos.
