Satriani LIVE Ibanez 20th Anniversary bash NAMM 08

Just got back and my ears are ringing!

Satriani played the Surfing With An Alien album start to finish and was joined by Marty Freidman, Paul Gilbert, Herman Li and the other guitarist from Dragonforce for a jam at the end. All in a small club with about 400 people in it. It was great seeing these guys trading solos, especially Marty!

None. It isn't officially the 20th yet ... only a prototype of what the 20th might be.

He played the whole album. Who's playing bass with him? Looks like Matt Bisonette, or dave larue got a haircot and got taller suddenly

Anyone know why Dave isn't with Satch anymore?

Anyway, I am extremely jealous you got to see that. Playing SWTA and with PG and MF must have been incredible (I'm not too keen on Herman Li). Thanks a lot for the videos!

DL is the hardest working bassist ever, he always has something on the book. Possibly it was a scheduling conflict, or, Matt is who he likes to use when rock is the primary theme, and that is Surfing.
