Satriani Meet and greet package
I have managed to buy meet and greet tickets for Satches tour here in the UK, i was hoping to have one of my Js guitars signed but i am a little concerned about the guitar as to where it will be kept during the gig.
Does anyone know what normally happens to the guitars in this situation?

Re: Satriani Meet and greet package
Most venues, have a service where you pay them to keep items (backpacks etc) I'm sure you could leave it with them.

Re: Satriani Meet and greet package
I was considering having the backplate signed but i really would prefer the back of the headstock.
I was considering removing the neck and taking that!

Re: Satriani Meet and greet package
Leave it in the car. There's always plenty of time between encore and aftershow.
If it's a before-show package, put it in the car when you're done.

Leaving something of value in a car over here is a bit of a no no
Lots and lots of petty crime. Even if the guitar is out of sight car crime is quite rife in places

You can't lock it in your trunk (boot)?

moebius, once broken in the front they'll press the boot release button, so boot still a no no. If car is in a sercure car park it should be ok like.

Re: Satriani Meet and greet package
I'd just take a back plate and have that signed, you can put it in pocket then, mind you if its a black back plate best not take a black pen, be fun watching him sign in Tippex though

Re: Satriani Meet and greet package
The meet and greet I went to was a couple of hours before the show... I would still just do the control cover.

Re: Satriani Meet and greet package
Meet and greet I did was before the show, except the actual meet Satch part, ...which was a bit after the show. The later part is when any "signing" would take place if he's still doing it that way. I asked the same question about the JS 100 I had when I went and ended up just not taking it. If you take a neck you can keep it with you the whole show but it would be kinda "not fun" keeping up with it the whole night and risk dropping it or something like that.
Therefore, ...I recommend the plate route.

Re: Satriani Meet and greet package
the meet and greet i went to was a couple hours before the doors opened up so i had time to move my guitar to my car and lock it up in my trunk. I had an awesome time.
