Satriani USA Custom on the bay?

Auction #180429798320. Is this for real? Looks like a '91 or so 540RLTD to me. $2500, good luck. Did Ibanez ever make an S series USA Custom?

Stock R540LTD, everybody that sees a Case Ave address thinks it's automatically custom shop. It's H&S, which was also on Case Ave.

I don't buy that it was one of Joe's. Doubt it was special in the least. It does appear to be in great condition though. I have a 540-R that has the Case Ave neck plate. Mine looked a lot like this one, but mine was pretty ragged out when I bought it for ~$300 a few years ago - lots of dings etc. I've rebuilt and customized it completely with new paint and electronics. I'm no expert, but no way that thing is worth anywhere near $2500.

Exactly,stock as a rock LTD. People have good imaginations that's for sure!!
It's in nice shape,but only to the tune of around $700 max. Any true custom assembly i've seen always had a serial number on the neck plate and nothing on the headstock and usually had something unusual about it eg colour,materials etc..,non catalog features. It's the same with the 540P/Alex Skolnick thing,he held it for two catalog photo's,nothing more!

I have a 91. I'm pretty sure Joe never played it. lol Mine was more realistically priced at 600 US.

I saw this guys auction and had it in my watching list too, but for $2500 he would have to give me A LOT more than that guitar! Maybe he can sell us some ocean front property in Nebraska that Joe might have owned as well.
