Serial Number... JS1200

hey guys i thinking fo getting a new guitar this year and i'm up to two choices a JS1200 and a Jem7v, but leaning toward the JS coz i've been looking for a guitar like that since i felt in love with Satch's tone and sound... anyways yesterday i went and tried both of them and felt in love with red color and output... gosh what an output... well i notice that the back plate in the body has a serial number which is different that the one on the back of the headstock, what does it means?

It doesn't really mean anything. They aren't supposed to match. The headstock number is the real serial number.

ok, so what is the number in the back plate?

It means "xxxxxth js ever produced".

on the back plate? or in the headstock??? i read the Rich "date your ibanez" report and i kind of understand it... but i couldnt get the JS part...
