So my new-used js1000 showed up today. It was in very bad condition. I sending it back to the seller. Id rather have a dy 550.

ouch! sorry to hear that man. what was wrong with it? what kind of condition was it in? how bad?

It was bad. The seller noted one scratch on it. There was around 15 scratches on it a few chips and dents. The headstock looked like it had been though a cheese grader.

refinish? I know it's just putting more money into it, but see if he'll give you back 250 for all the damage and then put a new finish on it.

That stinks...Hate to hear that people misrepresent items on EB. That's why I decided to do CL for my JS. Probably paid a bit more but I saw and played it before I forked over the cash.

Another option - check out GC's used website - they have JS's all the time. If it is not local to you, they are good about sending extra pictures, etc. They ship the guitar right to you - you have 30 days to decide if you want to keep it. I did that recently (and unfortunately had to return - long story) but they were great to work with. I just lost out on the $15 shipping
