Some confusing things about the JS series: bubinga stripe and JS custom inlay

So my 2 main axes are from the JS series and i feel that i know quite abit about them but there's 2 things i cannot get my head around:

why some JS1000's do not have a bubinga stripe in the neck. I know that JS100's don't have that stripe but i'm talking js1000

What is the JS custom for i see in some js1000's. i know that js100's have a joe satriani inlay but not a JS custom inlay.

92'/93' - JS1, JS3, JS4, JS5 do not have skunk stripes. [there are exceptions]

94'-97' JS1000's, no skunk stripe, stupd inlay plaque.
