I just recorded this with my '54 Strat. Its the epilogue to "Champagne?" by Satch.

This is actually the tone that made me buy the JS-1000, but have yet to find it. I've got the standard Paf Pro/Fred and after a lot of tweaking I would conclude that the JS-1000 with these particular pickups is a pretty dark/warm voiced guitar. But somehow I've heard this jangly strat-like tone from him all over his recordings and shows. Another example of the tone I'm going for is the solo in Flavor Crystal 7.
So I'm just curious if anyone here has any tips on how to tweak out this bright strat tone. I'm afraid those chimey highs might be from his pedal/amp setup.
Nevertheless I still love my JS-1000. It has sustain and harmonics that I've never experienced before. I might switch to a Paf Joe if perhaps that will get me closer to this sound.
