split HB of an old JS 100?

Hi,
I own an older JS guitar (it's from the early 90's I think). The guy I bought it from told me it is a JS 1000 model, but meanwhile I believe that in fact it is a JS 100 model. It's white and on the pickups there are the letters "IBZ" - so I believe these are no DiMarzio-Pickups like in the JS 1000 model. But the guitar has got the same tremolo like the 1000 model, not the sleazy one that the new 100 models have got. So I'm a bit confused about wich model it actually is.
The Pickups are not splitted and I wonder if it's possible to upgrade that. I'm not quite sure about it because I don't really know what pickups these ones are.

You could always use the serial number to see where it's been built...

Korea -> JS100
Japan -> JS1000

Maybe it's something like a 1000 neck and a 100 body with PUs or maybe someone just wanted to keep the DiMarzios... who knows.

It is certainly no JS100/1000; both of them had the coil split.

But your description sounds like a white Radius to me, which evolved into the JS line in '91. Those are awesome. Pics please!

Which pickup layout do you have? HH, HSH or HSS?? Is there just the IBZ-Print on your pickups, or something like "IBZ V2" or "IBZ/USA"? This will help us designate whether it's a R540 or R440.

PS. Yeah, splitting the pickups shouldn't be a problem. The only thing you'll need is a DPDT push/pull switch and some inspiration from the JS100 wiring.

Actually, I thought my old HH radius DID have coil split. Anyone currently own one that can check for sure?

Yeah, someone (maybe you) mentioned that a long time ago on these forums.

Maybe the coil tap was a 540HH - feature only? The catalogs are not very clear about the differences between the 540HH and the 440HH (besides the pickups and the edge on the 440).
