String Buzz - problems with low-action setup on JS1000

I got my JS1000 about a month ago and I LOVE IT! *But, I want as low an action as I can get, which shouldn't be a prob with Joe's model. *I had it setup and the guy got the action really low but there was still a little buzz. *No matter what I do, I can't get rid of all the buzz, especially on 12th and up and ESCPECIALLY on G string. *I have never really worried about set up before, so am I being ridiculous by wanting ABSOLUTELY NOT A SINGLE BUZZ on any fret or is that the way it should be?

Figuring the guy that set it up really knows what he is doing, the neck may need a hint of relief if it does not already have it, or you may need to have the frets leveled. *The latter is more likely if you want NO buzz. *Also, remember that Joe's frets are all re-radiused and leveled with a different fret. *In order to get no buzz, you have to have the right technique and the right setup.

You should probably read through this thread first

http://jemsiteforum.com/board/topic....14&topic=5

Can you make a *clean* 3 step bend on the high E between the 12th and 20th? If so, your action is probably too low on the bass side. Have you checked for a high fret? 1 fret in the higher registers on the G string will be almost dead, very buzzy and all the tone choked out of it if you have a high fret. I'm figuring your action is just set too low. I'd take it back to who set it up and tell him what your problem is.

Thanks guys. *I took a good look and the 22nd fret is quite high. *I think I'll wait a while though and let the guitar get broken in before I go planing down any frets. *RICH, you said something about a three step bend? *You mean 3 half steps? *After my initial set up I could not bend more than a whole step on the high e string above the 12th without the last fret totally stopping the tone. *Are you saying that this is supposed to happen?

Riase the action till you can get a 3 (yes 1/2) step bend without it choking. I'd return it to the shop to have the 22nd taken care of now, don't wait.
