JS forum has been pretty quiet recently...the sun was out ,so I thought I'd take some pics of the homebrews

That swirl blows my mind. I've seen it before on another of your threads.

They're both great, but I'm still especially intrigued by the gold/black one. In the original thread on that guitar, you never disclosed how you did the finish. I recall that it had a feint seam on the edge and had some texture to the finish before clearcoating. Trade secret? Or would you be willing to clue us in?

cheers quys, stratoskier it was in the thread - gold leaf glued to the body then swirled with black and clear plasticote enamels

Oh, thanks! I missed that description. That was a really creative twist to swirls and it's certainly among my favorite JS!
