yeah. it's unfortunate, as I'd love to play a JS3 on stage. it's the only JS that ever appealed to me. it would rock to play with my new band and have people see a donnie on stage, as they're so unique and gorgeous.

but even if I had the money to buy one I wouldn't get it as rich seems intent on hoarding them all.

I only gigged twice with my Donnie (which Mr. Harris now has). I played a wedding with it, and I used it for a blues gig in a club. It got a TON of "oohs" and "ahhhs", but it just wasn't the guitar for me at the time.

I remember seeing a guitar shop in Perth (Australia) advertising one for sale in a Aussie music magazine back in the early 90's for $6000au.

The guy who ended up buying it used to work at a music shop about 5 minutes from where I live (in Adelaide). I was talking to him one day and he mentioned he had it. Natuarally, I didn't believe him, and he called my bluff and bought it in with him the next day. It was in great condition. There was some wear on the upper body from his right arm and the "Z" on the Ibanez logo on the headstock, was flacking a little, but that was about it.

I got to jam on in for a while too. Played very nice. No real difference to any other JS though....

Its a beautiful guitar.... The lucky bastard also had a PMC Jem too...

As far as I know, he still has both guitars.

By the way, I saw the JS2 about 2/3 years before the Chromeboys were released.

That doesn't make any sense since the Ibanez logo is die cut out of the foil overlay. There's nothing to flake

Only 2 2's went to Au., the one I have and another that was used as a prop in a surfer movie shot there in 90', supposedly it was returned in less than perfect condition after spending a month at the beach as a prop.

Maybe "flacking " wasn't the right word to use... On the bottom of the "Z", there was a bloch(sp ?) of black paint almost like bled through or something. I thought it was flacking or pealing but maybe it was something else...

I didnt bother asking about it cause I was just tripping out that I got to see and play one... If I see him again, I'll quizz him about it.

I heard that we got Two JS2s, but I heard that one was destroyed in a warehouse fire or something. Glad to hear that wasn't true....

Do you know the name of that surf movie Rich??? I might see if I can track it down.

Maybe it was a hole in the overlay.

No idea on the movie but it would have been in shooting late 89' or 90'
