trading in my js1000
In November I purchased a JS1000, but i hate it, i've ajusted the
truss rod
, the bridge, and the neck, and still the action is horrible. I think i'll be getting the petrucci musicman or the washburn n4.

Re: trading in my js1000
heres a crazy idea, take it to a professional.. It sounds like you fiddled with it to the point its so out of whack your only making it worse.
those guitars are sweet, an there should be no reason yours is different from others..
Hell tell the store to set it up or your returning it..

Take it to a professional to have it set up. It'll make a world of difference.

I totally agree. If you bought a JS 1000 and you're complaining about the guitar altogether, you shouldn't even be playing. That guitar is a dream to play.

Re: trading in my js1000
Sorry to hear of your troubles. I take it you think the action is too high?
definitely take it to a good tech and if possible ask to sit in a watch what he does to sort it out. Don't sell it please!! Once set just right for my money is best guitar i have ever bought and is a joy every day to play.

It's hard to believe that can't be fixed, unless there's a serious issue with it. Heck, send it to Rich for a setup.

Re: trading in my js1000
The JS1000BP that I played felt great to me, almost to the point that I wanted to buy it. And I have low action on all my guitars (~1.2mm off 24th fret)

Re: trading in my js1000
I have to agree that you are crazed. An N4? How do all you whipper snappers even remember who Nuno is?
I do have a serious question. Do you own (or have played extensively) a guitar that you do like? If so, what is it?

Re: trading in my js1000
Man, I feel (felt) your pain. I bought one in October and it took me FOREVER to get it set up right. I was never a fan of 9s anyways, so I switched to 10s, and that of course felt better, but I really just got the action and intonation absolutely perfect tonight after working on it for about a half hour. Its an amazing guitar though, I love it, best Ive ever played, easy. I plan on getting a 2000 and a 1200. And, also, the neck and body fit me perfectly. So maybe its that too. But I say get a pro set up with your gauges of choice and youll love it.

You'll hate those too if they're badly set-up

Actually, he'll hate the N4 specifically, if he hates the JS. They're different, but still from the same side of the tracks.

Re: trading in my js1000
Why buy an N4 when you can just order the parts from Warmoth and save $1000.
