The bass looks great.

I wonder if the JS is a proto made of bits, kind of a lets put it together and see if Joe likes it. The fact that the nut has the blanking plate does suggest to me that it has at least been put together with some care.

Re: Trying to identify this guitar

Yeah, the Bass although not my cup of tea visually, plays like a dream!! It's a keeper for sure...pretty good conversation piece too!

the guitar on the other hand, will eventually be sold...It plays super awesome, but it's not my style...and would be better off in someone's hands that would do it justice (instead of my power chord playing!!!) although i have no idea it's "worth" due to not really knowing what it is exactly. Any suggestions?

Re: Trying to identify this guitar

That's one of the original Warrant endorsee basses built for Jerry Dixon. There were NOT a bunch of those made, as they were just for the artist. Nice piece!

You ever decide to sell it, let me know.

Re: Trying to identify this guitar

The bass is worth a lot more.

I bought my alder JS6 Proto after a week on e-bay, after the guy advertised in a national guitar rag it was going to be auctioned [he thought it would bring big bucks], $1 no reserve, ended at $1100 and change.

Re: Trying to identify this guitar

That would require some research. If it was actually band used it's worth more than if it was just an extra laying around when they parted ways, that was given to somebody else. It looks a little too clean.

Yeah, this definitely was never played. They were given to the band "Ministry"
when they recorded Psalm 69 in 91

Re: Trying to identify this guitar

I know the guy who has/had most of the other Warrant Ibanez guitars/basses. He's trying to sell them, but his prices are WAY high, so he still has most of them.
