Volume knob
Just wanted to say I`m having difficulty doing volume swells {VH-Cathedral} with the stock volume knob. I`m thinking of going with the strat
style knobs
. Anyone else notice this?

No, I`m not getting crackles. I have a hard time swelling the volume on/off/on with my pinky while at the same time picking notes. It seems that since the knob is tall and cylinder like I can`t really grip it where as the
strat style
knobs my pinky gets better contact having the bottom and verticle part to grip.

aaah, i see your problem... though i personally don't see why it should be easier with stratstyle knobs... i can actually do it with the default js-knobs... but that may due to the strange measures of my hands:

What makes the strat style knobs easier, and I say this having once owned a Wolfgang with such knob, is that you have two surface contacts to roll the volume off/on with your pinky. IE: strat style _/ \_, JS style []. See my point now, I have no trouble reaching, when I was younger I used to practice crazy isometrics thinking I would get
Steve Vai
stretch fingers. I have the stretch but still limited to the size of my hands.

i think it takes time to get used to it, i had a similar problem too with volume swells with the JS but after a while, i just don't find it difficult anymore. i also had trouble reaching for the
pickup selector switch
but seems to be okay now

SaTa - bout the same size of hands as me, and you have had 3 more years of growing than me, my hands go from one end of the main keyboard bit to the other end.... and I have an extra wierd logitech button on mine.
Ive never really thought about how someone with small hands would play

I'm 19 years old right now. Anyone knows if my hands are still suposed to grow (at least a tiny bit so I can play Surfing with the alien...
)?

my hands are almost as long as sata's, maybe a centimeter or two smaller
pinky grow is what i'd love, if it could be the same size as my ring finger, would be cool!

ZERO unless you are a midget, don`t fret it. Joe is not tall at all and he plays Surfing with the Alien. All it takes is practice, practice, practice..........
