What DIFFERENT Axe Is Joe holding here? JS6?

http://www.guitarplayertv.com/

Click on the G3 stuff. Video 1 and the Peavey amp vids, he's holding what looks like a JS6, but with Les Paul style pups and the knobs are all in a row. I've never seen one like that.

Anyone know? New custom? I didn't see it listed over at the Ibanez Register and I don't know where else to look.

It looks like a JS6 but the JS6 had the regular DImarzios.

he may have changed the pickups to the gibson looking ones.

Yep. Looks like it's a JS6 with different pickups.

Edit:

Ok change that. It looks more like Mohog with different pickups.

Maybe Rich can tell us more?

I just thought the knob placement was very odd.

Re: What DIFFERENT Axe Is Joe holding here? JS6?

the knob placement is the same there are just 3 knobs.

it looks like Joe wanted a Les Paul type sound with a JS style guitar.

2 covered pickups, 3 knobs (probably 2 volume 1 tone), mahogany body w/fixed bridge.

it could be a glimpse of the new JS model coming out as well.

It looks like a JS6 with covered LP style pickups and an added knob to me. The knobs don't look like they are in line to me.

There is a new Satriani tune over at the Peavey site. There is a music player in the lower right corner, and you may need to scroll to get to Joe's song. I think the new amp sounds great.
