What is a fair price for a new JS1000 BTB?
I have the opportunity to purchase an new JS1000BTB and was wondering what a reasonable price would be for this axe. Thanks for the info!

No more than any other JS1000
My favorite local shop has one for $900 w/o case, same as the black JS1000

Get real, Jason may sell it to you for that, but not Joe Schmoe

$900 is the price on the "sale" tag
(of course, it IS the only one that he has left, and he's had it for quite awhile)

Must be because it's an 02' and he hasn't been able to sell it in over a year

So....AVERAGE "fair" price would be more in the area of $1050-1100 probably?

you guys are so lucky!
i played a js1000 today and found it to be really amazing!
i thought the
pickup switch
would be way too far from me, but once the bar is moved away, it's just not a problem. and all the sound it can do! the feel of the neck! the "rock" vibe even when riffing with huge amount of gain!
too bad she is around 1720 euros

$1175 cased is VERY fair indeed! Especially with a top-notch setup

Especially if you consider Chesbro MSRP'd them at $1600 [but I'd always get a little more for my last 2 than I did for the rest]

Thanks Rich and VaiJem777! I really appreciate your input. You guys are right on the mark as far as what the guy wants for it (in the neighborhood of $1100 w/case). The downside is that I won't get the awesome IbanezRules setup (I checked your site for this guitar first Rich).
I'm still a bit on the fence about this guitar. I -know- I want another JS1000 to back up my 02' which I have absolutely fallen head over heels in love with. I've got a few nice guitars to choose from at home, but I can only play the others for a few minutes at a time before I pick the JS back up. I also know that it would be nice to have a different JS instead of simply having two BP's. The thing is I'm not so sure about the BTB. It's kind of an odd finish. The trans blue by itself is cool, but I've seen pictures of some BTB's that looked like they were a little heavy handed with the torch. On the other hand, these things are a bit rare here in the states and it would be nice to have a unique guitar. One thing that bothers me is that Rich doesn't appear to have added one to his collection. Is that still true Rich? If not, why not (if you don't mind me asking)?
Anyway, thanks again for the perspective. You guys rock.
Best Regards,
Mike.

The bigger question would be "Why?"
