What's the "correct" p/u height on a JS model?

Heddo!

I own a JS10 which I bought second-hand. The original owner informed me that he'd messed around with the pickup height quite alot, and that he didn't remember what the "stock" pickup heights were......

Does anyone know where Joe has his pickup height set? Like basically how far away from the strings? Right now my neck p/u is set flush (bobbin flush with p/u ring) and my bridge p/u is set with the edge of the bobbin protruding JUST above the p/u ring. You can see the whole edge of the bobbin, but none of the tape covering the windings when you look from the side.

What's the "stock" height? (if nobody knows Joe's)

Anyone who has an idea is welcome to comment.

Thanks,
Billkwando

Your heights sound about the same as those on my JS1000. If they're too high, you'll get a lot of noise/distortion.
