Where in the UK can I try out JS100 / JS1000 / JS1200
Tried out a JS100 week in my local guitar shop for the 1st time and it felt pretty nice to play and blew my current Guitar out the water for sound and Tone. Did have my heart set on
Js1000
/ 1200 so want to go to shop to try out all three together. I live in Banbury , but my local shop although stocking js100's is unlikely to get any of the higher end JS's in.
Does anyone know a great guitar shop in the UK (Near Banbury - Oxford / Midlands) for
Ibanez
thats gonna have a few Js's in stock so I can try out ? Looked on the Internet but can't seem find anything at the moment.
Also travel to Philly PA and Raleigh/Durham NC a few times a year so if there is a killer guitar shop that anyone in US can recommend that would be great too !
Thanks in Advance - Matt

I've got an upgraded, signed JS 1200 for sale here in Canada, but I could ship it to you in the States. PM me if you want pics and clips. I'm sure Rich does great set-ups, but you can do the same thing at home if you take a little time to learn how to do it.

No, I mean that people are generally just too lazy to learn how to set up their guitars themselves. Rich does great work, I'm sure, but my JS 1200 has played like a dream since I bought it in 2005. Learned to set-up my guitar myself, and I've never needed a 'pro' to touch it...

Then you have less demanding tastes than those that want a much better guitar, for most probably the same to little more $'s than you paid for nothing more than what the factory assembled. If you think platinum level is overkill that's why I have 6 different levels and 12 different prices, for every model.
You learned to keep your guitar adjusted. I can guarantee you that it still needs quite a bit of work to make it what it could be.

You're a great marketer, Rich, I'll give you that, but I just don't believe that it could be a better guitar, for me personally, anyways. It plays exactly like I want it to play. It sounds exactly like I want it to sound. I don't like low action. I don't use a whammy bar, and I have the trem perma-blocked with a Tremol-No because I like in-tune unison bends and the benefit of more sustain and better tone. I don't need an instrument to be tweaked to perfection to make it sing. Most of the tone is in the player, not the gear.

It has zero to do with marketting or sales and everything to do with you telling anybody they could learn to do what I do and do it on their own guitar. Sure, they can of course, after a very long learning curve and practical experience on 100's-1000's of different guitars.
Your post proves my point

And until you've actually played or even inspected one then you'll never know how much better it is, not that you'd care, you're just fine with what you have. There is nothing wrong with that, just don't say there's something wrong with wanting better. Different strokes for different folks.
Joe's tone may be in his fingers but his guitars are a finely teched as it gets.........

Well, I'm not going to argue with you because I haven't played one of your guitars, but I'm selling mine anyways to fund a Suhr, so I'm headed in a different direction. Maybe one day I'll buy another one, and if I do maybe I'll get one from you to see what the difference is...You are right about Satriani's axe though. I e-mailed Gary Brawer a couple years ago about how he prepped Satriani's JS and he said this:
"I glue the frets in place if needed. Then I do a fret mill on my plek machine augmented with some additional hand work including changing the arc of the saddles, nut height, trem adjustments etc...All that for about 250"
I know Mike Manning also stuffs foam in between the pups and who knows what else.
