Which Guitars used on current tour?

I'm just curious what guitars are getting used this time around? I'm sure the new black dog and probably the JS20th. Is the JS2 PRM still coming out? Anyone who's seen a show, let me know. Thanks

Re: Which Guitars used on current tour?

I heard an interview yesterday where Joe said that he was using the first black dog reissue every night on tour this time around.

05. Diddle-Y-A-Doo-Dat
06. Flying in a Blue Dream
07. Ghosts
08. Revelation
09. Super Colossal
10. One Big Rush
11. Musterion
12. Time Machine
13. Cool #9
14. Andalusia
15. Going to California (Stuart Hamm)
16. Bass Solo (Stuart Hamm)
17. Cryin'
18. The Mystical Potato Head Groove Thing
19. Always With Me, Always With You

Re: Which Guitars used on current tour?

That set list is a bit expanded from what I heard the other night in Pittsburgh. He didn't play Diddle, Cryin' or Potato Head. If memory serves, the order was also a little different from what you wrote although it mostly lines up correctly.
As for guitars, he played a 1200CA most of the show, his white JS1, a chromeboy that he said was a replica of one stolen from him back in '91 (played Ghosts with it), his blackdog that only made a brief appearence, and an LP signed by Leslie West(for the jam at the end). There might've been one more guitar in there but those are the ones I remember best. There was no silver surfer and from my vantage although someone definately yelled throughout the show for him to play "Surfin with the surfer" in some nice drunk talk. Definitely an awesome show.

Re: Which Guitars used on current tour?

great info.

I'm taking my wife to the show, and anytime we go to a show where she is not all that familiar with the music I try and find a set list, and burn a CD with said songs so she can soak it in for a few weeks and feel more connected to the show.

Pretty much these shows wind up with her commenting "hey that's the song that you play, and suck at!" or "why can't you play like that"?

It's not bad enough that these guys typically make you want to push all your equipment to the curb anyways, but the moral support of a caring wife is what really helps take the sting off

I saw the show in NYC. He was using the JS1200, a white JS1000, the JS BDG and the JS2 PRM which was tuned to drop D. And a non ibanez for the encore with the opener.
