Re: Who has a JS2400

I happened to visit the music trade show in Frankfurt this year and played it.
nice sound, great playability, but it only comes in white and i could not afford it.
maybe its a bit rare because of that

Weird. A whole lot of folks seemed interested, but no players here?

Nope, but I'm not looking either. If I had to pick, I'd say call down to Guitarworks in Greenwood. I've seen probably more signature models there than any other store around Indy.

They're coming in very slow, I've only gotten 2 so far. The buyers, freaked at how good they were. No idea why it took them so long to do it but it was worth the wait.

Re: Who has a JS2400

Just saw the very first one in a store in Paris. They do look awesome. Didn't have an opportunity to try her, but it looks fantasticly classy. Much better in real person than in pics.

Chrome hardware definitely looks killer on white guitars (would on a 7vwh too !)

Re: Who has a JS2400

I bought a JS2400 from Japan while I was on vacation in Tokyo back in April.

The guitar is super nice, I've never played any other JS but the extra 2 frets is a must have.

By the way, I have never seen another JS2400 anywhere else. The salesman in Japan told me they are really rare.

Cheers,
TiMo

we gotta wait till late August, which I hear means August of 2015. Even the Mayans don't plan on us getting them.

I haven't got one, but did get the chance to play one for a couple hours. Thinking about it I didn't check out the pro track on it's own, but the tone was great as always, and it felt "comfortable", just like any of my other older JS's

Looks great, plays well, it's a JS so I'd say that covers it

I appreciate that's not detailed, but I wasn't thinking form a review perspective at the time

Re: Who has a JS2400

Great tone in the neck pickup... not muddy at all. I would much have preferred a neck through body design, like my Jackson Soloist... you can reach those high notes much easier. Not sure why this wasn't done with the Ibanez. The JS2400 has a better neck than my Jackson, though... the Jackson is painted black and shiney... there's a tendancy for the palm to stick when the hand gets sweaty... not so with the JS2400. Very clean pickups, but with enough edge to get the job done. I bought this because my Jackson has active emg pickups... a good thing if that's what you want, but I found a bit too intense for what I play.

Rich, can you say something about the weight? I picked up the one at the Frankfurt Musikmesse and it appeared very heavy, in the range of 3.9..4.0kg. Much more than my JS1 in any case.
