As written in earlier topics....

I play my 10th! It got some scratches and dings, but I couldn't be happier with it!

I've currently got a JS10th (#00, a Crystal Planet (#172), a JS1000WH and a JS6. I've gigged with the Crystal Planet quite a bit, and LOVE the tone (the weight can get to be a bit much, but it's worth it!)

I had a JS90, JS10 (#76), JS1000BTB, and still have a JS1000 (custom Donnie graphics), JS1, JS6, and a JS700. I was basically waiting to play the JS10 live and never got a chance. The JS I love the most out of all of them (as far as tone, quality, and comfort) is the JS1. I will have to agree with Rich on the fact that the JS1 just..."feels better"

LOL The JS6 I've got is the one that you passed up, Raven! Turned out to be a SWEET axe! The EMG's were wired to the pre-existing pots, etc. and were actually wired correctly. Putting the original pickups back in should only take 20 minutes or so tops. But...as much as I hate to say it, the EMG 81's REALLY sound great in it! I may actually leave them in for awhile. Got a great deal on the guitar though...it'll definitely become a main "player" now. I made a couple of minor mods:
-All gold hardware
-Gotoh Magnum Locking tuners
-Graph-Tec saddles

Wow! Looks like I passed up on a perfect guitar!

I had to though. At the time, I couldn't afford one that had "only the
pickups swapped". Last time I heard that, it cost me twice what I paid
for the guitar to fix all the other crap this hack had modified.

I'm glad you got it though. I'm still looking for a stock JS-6. But hey, if
you decide to part with that one, tell me about it! Now that I know it's not
a train wreck! hehe.

Oh, and by the way, this is what I passed up on that guitar for!

Sorry about the picture, I didn't take it...but DAMN this guitar is
beautifull! All the guys at the local guitar shops were floored when I
told them this was a late '80s early '90s JEM!

So I'm not crying too much about passing up on that JS-6. I'll just have
to wait out for the next one...Maybe I should post another want ad...
I'll go do that now.

Hehe, thanx bro!

While not the *best* sounding guitar I've ever owned, it's hands down
the best playing. And I've owned over 100 guitars (generally about 14
at any one time when I was in the business), and I've teched several
100 guitars.

I'm VERY tempted to drop a pink F-Spaced FRED in the bridge. While
that wouldn't give me much varitey in tone between my guitars, it
would definitly be *the tone* I want. The FRED is honestly the "music
in my head" tone...even if it's me playing! LOL

I might pick up another Root Beer and "do what I will" with it. You know,
try different pickups and maybe even a nice MIDI pickup in it. But right
now I'm shopping for a nice strobe tuner, and a JS-6, and a UV. I can't
imagine needing (hehe wanting) anything more!

I have JS10 #004 and JSCP #003
I played the JS10 for under an hour, and the JSCP for less than ten minutes.

To lose the fear of playing my JS10, I got myself another one, #152, but I don't play that one either...

now with a guy like me wanting a js10 and you having two, that just sucks!

Well if I ever get the money, I'll try and pick one up. I had my chance once and the guy was a butthole about waiting till monday to send the money, he said I'll see if someone else can mail the money sooner, then he couldn't then he came back and said, still interreted.. I never wrote back out of pride... lol.

hey 10th owners! perform the 'caprile mod' and put a little cling vinyl in those pickups so you can play it!
