!!!BLUE SPARKLE RG570!!! - Need Info

I have a few questions about it.

1.What year did it come out?
2.Are they limited edition?
3.Are they common?
4.How much are they worth used?
5.Anything special about them other than the finish?
6.Why are they all the sudden popping up everywhere.

Can anyone answer these questions?

1. *I am not sure about the year they came out. *If you looked at the serial number you'd be able to determine this by the first one or two numbers following the "F."

2. *No they are not limited editions.

3. *See # 2. *

4. *There is one on sale at a local store in Ft Gratiot, MI and they are asking roughly $475 for it. *I think that depending on condition you shouldn't pay more than $400-450 for one in mint condition.

5. No.

6. *I have no idea on this one, you should ask the sellers why they're selling.

Bonus answer: *Yes some of them.

Hello Noodles,

i've an ibanez ad here that says 'Get Flaked' featuring the sparkle RG in question. it's fr 1998, so i guess the RG would be fr that year too...

Cheers.

my guess at question 6 would be:

trends.
sparkley finishes aren't "in" at the moment and those that have them want to sell them.

I mean, I'm having troubles finding a second hand Jem in Australia. People here that have them don't want to sell at the moment. A few years ago there were heaps on the second hand market.

Wil..

They aren't in the 98 catalog. They are in the 97 one though, and I think possibly the 96 too. Perhaps that magazine ad was from early 98 and they were just trying to get rid of what was left of the sparkle stock. They also made them in green.

The silver ones were actually called the RG 517. And I've kind of fixed those links now, I don't see why that bottom one isn't working. Just copy and paste, which I assume you all did anyways before the links worked.
