Hi folks!
There is an 1992 Ibanez RG-570 CA ("
Candy Apple Red" - metallic red) at a music shop close to me. The guitar has always been used in the school of that music shop.
I made a bid for €120 for it... it has all sorts of scratches, dints, etc. and the humbucking pickups (everything is original, V7 and V

are malfunctioning.
If the shop owner accepts that bid, I shall modify that guitar top to bottom... and I would like any opinion regarding that!
First of all, I don't need another H-S-H Ibanez. I own a highy customized RG-470 JB (DiMarzio loaded, original FR Pro loaded, etc.). I'm thinking of converting it to a H-H guitar.
I was thinking of applying a pickguard with only the H-H holes in it. Of course it wouldn't be a clear acrylic pickguard, so, I don't really know what colour to choose... maybe mirror red? Purple? Clear mirror? Opinions needed!
Then, the pickup colours. I would like the whole package to look very "ice-pick in the forehead"-ish! (Do I make myself clear enough?

) Maybe red/purple pickups and purple knobs? Opinions needed!
And finally, what pickups to choose. My RG-470 is loaded with PAF Pro/HS-2/Evo 2. I also have a J.Custom RG-Paint4 with Air Norton/Tone Zone. So, that covers up many sonical ranges! I wouldn't want to "repeat" a guitar sonically, so, I don't really know what to go for! Maybe Humbucker From Hell/Breed Bridge? Opinions needed!
Thanks for your precious help...
