1997 RGR Japanese domestic model with very cool neck...

Hi guys,

two weeks ago I got this 1997 RGR470JBB in "Jewel Blue Burst" - a Japanese domestic model that combines a rather cheap Resoncast body with a really cool full-feature neck. It's an odd combination I would say because it also has the original EDGE instead of a Lo-TRS. The neck has all the right moves, namely reverse headstock with silver screen logo, matching finish, full binding, sharktooth inlays, Wizard profile and AANJ. I also like the Jewel Blue Burst finish. So what do you guys think?

Sweet! I've always been curious as to how he resoncat bodies sounded. How do you like it?

The acoustic unamplified sound is quite loud and the sustain is surprisingly good. It does have some compression effect to it, i.e. the attack is not in-your-face, but it's got a balanced tone and nice timbre.

I had a resoncast rg370 from the same year and used it for 3-4 years. I remember the distortion being really good even with the stock pickups.

Nice. I had the DW (dark wine) one. It was a nice guitar and love the reverse headstock. Put a set of the IBZ/USA F2/C3/F4 pickups in it. The resoncast cast was thin sounding though. But it is hard to go wrong with an Edge and Wizard neck. Congrats!

Nice idea with the red SC cover and the matching control knobs. Was the headstock black?

Ther headstock on the DW was a very dark maroon or Deep Wine. The body was black though.

nice blue! I have the same kind of neck on my Perle Fireman, wait,, not a reverse though
