Re: 20th Anniversary RG?

Dunno if anyone asked already, but being kind of a reissue, is there any change we get original Edges on them?

It's not a reissue, it's an anniversary model. I don't think they'll go with original edges or the old school neck joint. Old colors seem to be a given at this point, but that's probably it.

Re: 20th Anniversary RG?

Only 1,987 annivery models will be produced, all made in Japan, spread across the three colours which will have matching headstocks and cases. At least one will have a rosewood board by the look of it and at least one will be black. Colour options may well be released before NAMM.

I'm trying to find out when/how I can pre-order a couple.

Re: 20th Anniversary RG?

Ha ha, I come on to break this info to JEMSite as I was the one to put in on the Ibanez.com forums last night and people are already talking about it on here after reading it there!

One of the three colours will come with a maple board, rest rosewood.

Talk to your local Ibanez dealer, reps are supposed to have hinted at the model coming out in the very least so someone should know something and be able to take your name down for possible pre-ordering.

Re: 20th Anniversary RG?

They've already said on the Ibanez forum that the cost will be under $1000 USD. I've been old the Ibanez reps in Australia are expecting a similar price to the RG1570 (AUD$1500-1700).

Also they are saying on the Ibanez forum that there is a surprise for the trem so you never know, these might have an Edge or Lo-Pro!
