540P prices??? Help needed...

Hey everyone, I have this guitar, about all I know is the warranty card says 540P-CO. Is this the 540 power model? I assume the -CO part is the color, it's bright orange. I'm guessing it's from the late 80's. The guy I got it from told me it was very similar to the one Satch was playing at the time. Anyway, I don't play it and would rather it go to someone who will enjoy it, it's really a beautiful guitar. But before I put it up for sale I was hoping someone here could tell me what it's worth (roughly), so I don't get ripped off?
Thanks guys...

Sorry for double-posting, but I thought this might be answered quicker here.

BTW-jemsite, I see you're from Cranford...I used to live on Munsee Dr.... How's things there?

Please do not post duplicate threads in multiple areas. Your thread in the J-Custom and USA Custom area has been deleted... it was in the wrong area to begin with.

Hard to say. *Radius and Sabre models form the late 80's & early 90's go on eBay for $300-400, depending on condition & luck. *The Power model is less popular & rarer, but I dunno how that would affect an auction.

I've seen 540P's and 540P-II's go for up to $500, with case (of course). LOL

Did everyone forget that Alex Skolnick used to sleep with these? *:-)

Maybe I'm the only one who's confused by that post. *
I'm gonna guess you're trying to say:
"P's sell for about $250, but the P-II's go for around $500."

More like Kev vs. Rich 397

Kev can decipher me though, P's are in much less demand than PII's even though they're probably equal as guitars. It's a given it's a P by the Satriani association.

Rich and I "debate" only to provide you folks with the most accurate possible information.
I'd much rather be wrong than provide incorrect information. *(It's my New Year's resolution, heh heh)

Rich and I are actually very nice to one another; he even ASKS to pick up guitars at my place.
It's very odd. *:-)
I know better than to even ask at his place. LOL! *

I bet on Kevan's first day at Jemsite, Glen said "uh-oh watch out for this one..."

EDIT
To keep things somewhat on topic, what's the differences between "Radius", "Sabre", and "Power" models?

Jaybone,
when the 'Kev vs Rich' challenge is over, let me know how much $$$ for your babe.
I've always loved Ps and PIIs, as Rich knows.
